Welcome

For more than two decades, UV Software has been developing solutions for industrial communication, motion control, and embedded systems, with a clear focus on quality, reliability, and technical elegance.
Whether in client projects as a freelancer or through independent open-source developments, UV Software stands for structured thinking, clean code, and sustainable architecture.

This is not a marketing promise.
It is a project history. A mindset. And perhaps the beginning of a collaboration.

Freelance Project Work

Embedded projects with substance

As a freelance software developer, I work in demanding engineering environments, focusing on low-level programming, communication protocols like CAN and CANopen, and the design and implementation of control and diagnostic systems.

I support projects through all phases from requirements analysis to architecture, implementation, and commissioning.
My approach emphasizes process-compliant development based on common industry standards and draws on experience with safety-critical systems, especially in the automotive sector.

Free Software (FOSS)

Open source with industrial relevance

Alongside my project work, I maintain my own open-source libraries and tools. Many of them have emerged directly from the needs of industrial applications.
The most well-known project is MacCAN, a native CAN driver solution for macOS used by developers worldwide.

All FOSS projects follow a clear principle of technical precision, minimal overhead, and long-term maintainability.
Documentation and source code are available on GitHub – open to everyone, but with no compromises on quality.

Working with AI Systems

You – Me – AI – Project

I see artificial intelligence not as a replacement for experience but as an extension of our cognitive space.
I use AI systems where they provide orientation, reveal structure, or support model creation – not to automate for efficiency’s sake.

AI becomes truly productive when it is part of a co-cognitive process:

I don’t ask what AI can do for me, but what I can think differently with AI.
